A research project on consumer preference of different Sauvignon Blanc styles, carried out by Master of Wine student and Co-op wine buyer, Sarah Benson, Lallemand, Masters of Wine, Sam Harrop and Dirceu Vianna Junior, and in collaboration with St.Clair Family Estate (Marlborough) will be presented at the Sauvignon 2019 conference in Blenheim, New Zealand on January 30th, 2019
This study, which focused on four different styles of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc – tropical, herbaceous, citrus and barrel fermented, used different microbial tools to help maximize the different style of wines.
The results of the research will help understand more about consumer preference of different style of NZ Sauvignon Blanc.
