Lallemand Oenology’s team gathered on Île des Embiez, in the south of Provence, for our annual technical meeting, three inspiring days of learning, debate, and collaboration held from April 14–16. 📍🍇

Around 100 colleagues from over 15 countries came together to deepen our understanding of the latest advances in wine microbiology and to challenge our thinking through open, science-driven discussions. 🌍🔬 This collective learning directly supports our mission to better share knowledge with winemakers and winegrowers as they prepare for the upcoming season. 🍷

Being in Provence also offered the perfect opportunity to step back and take a closer look at rosé wines, with a fascinating presentation from Gilles Masson, one of the leading experts in Provençal rosé. 🌸 A timely reminder that terroir, microbiology, and wine style are deeply interconnected.

Beyond the technical content and the numerous wine tasting sessions, what stood out most was the energy of the team: curiosity, generosity in sharing experience, and a genuine collective spirit. 🤝 These moments of connection are what transform knowledge into meaningful progress for the wine industry.

📆 Fun fact: this technical meeting is an annual tradition that began in 1992, reflecting our long-standing commitment to advancing knowledge in wine microbiology.
