A 100% fungal origin for our chitosan-based products
As an ethical company, we guarantee—through specific analyses admitted in the Codex and OIV resolutions (OIV-OENO 368-2009 and OIV-OENO 728-2025)—that our chitosan-based products (including chitosan and chitin-glucan) originate exclusively from fungal sources.
At the core of this approach lies the Stable Isotope Ratio (SIR) analysis, which distinguishes origin through δ¹³C and δ¹⁵N values. This technique guarantees the authenticity of fungal chitosan and excludes any animal origin, that is not admitted by the OIV.
As part of our commitment to quality, transparency, traceability and responsibility towards our customers and wine consumers, we provide—upon request—a product certificate confirming the fungal origin (Aspergillus niger) of the chitosan used in our products, whether pure or blended.
