The South African wine industry is facing a very challenging 2018 harvest season due to the persisting drought and low water supplies in the Western Cape. According to the industry body SAWIS (SA Wine Industry Information & Systems), the January estimate predicts an even smaller harvest than previous estimates made at the end of November 2017.
